The patented Anti-Kickback Hold Down Guide System ensures safer, more accurate cutting and greater control – uses adjustable aluminum and steel guides, each independent, tightened onto a maximum 5 wide fence. Picture shows a 2″ wide wide clamp but it now comes with an optional larger 5″ fence clamp as well. Ideal for table saws, radial arm saws, shapers, router tables, jointers, planers, bandsaws, overarm routers and more. (yes people have thought that). As lumber is fed along fence and under spring loaded hold down arms, 2-5/16 dia. X 3/4 wide rubber wheels revolve in only the forward direction. Should lumber kick back, the wheel locks to keep wood in place, minor kickback allowance frees up cutter to prevent motor burnout. If desired can be used for hold down use only, spring arm tension can be adjusted and locking pawl set to allow wheels to rotate freely in either direction(no kickback protection provided). System operates in left or right direction and handles pieces as narrow as 1/4″ thick x 1/4″ wide. The wheels can be adjust to tilt up to 15 degrees off of the normal 90 degrees so it will pull the stock up against the fence. There are two ways of tilting the wheels so it will pull towards the fence, they either can be steered like the angle adjustment on ours or other systems have a camber angle. Our wheels are very flat so they utilize maximum holding power through full surface contact which you would lose by adjusting the camber so the inventor uses the other method which is also better because it can be dialed in from 0-15 degrees to your liking.
